The day before I received this song, Melinda and
I had just come off of a three week high. We watched
a daughter be married and we gained a new son.
We had all but one of our children and their family
with us for those three weeks. Having just had a
baby, our son and daughter-in-love could not make
the trip from Germany. Still, memories were made.
Laughter and tears filled our home once again.
Grand-babies captivated our entire existence. I ate
so much Christmas food and so much pumpkin pie
(just me on that one!) that I felt too full in every
possible way. The day before this song came, we
said goodbye to the remaining children, watching one
family fly off to Australia while another daughter
flew off to North Carolina. Satisfaction mixed with
a great deal of sadness. I crashed emotionally...not to
despair but simply to exhaustion. It was at that time
that I decided to reboot my system. Immediately this
Psalm came to mind:

The name of the LORD is a strong tower;

The righteous runs into it and is safe.

Psalm 18:10 NASB

We need to be reminded of Who our God is.
It is in the knowing of His names that we are
ushered into instant awareness of His presence
with us and it is there that we find peace for our
storms, healing for our wounds, salvation for
our souls, deliverance from our bondage, hope
for our despair, and laughter for our tears.
Proclaim the name of the Lord daily in
your life. Use this song as a catalyst.
