Like A Fire

Just as Christ's love for me could not be quenched - even by a cross - my
desire is to express that same kind of love back to Him. I did not
understand for a long time how anyone who called themselves a Christian
could keep from worshiping Him with passion. Then it struck me - not
everyone fully understands their redemption. When we understand how far our
sin removed us from Christ and how far He reached to save us, we truly begin
to walk in our salvation..and in the very essence of who He has called us to
be. It is called gratitude. When we truly understand that we are born
again and truly understand that the 'old' us is dead, I believe we cannot
keep from expressing our love and gratitude to Jesus. It is a natural
overflow of Who He is in us and Who we have become in Him. This song came
from the passion of my heart for the one who first loved me passionately.
