For the Body of Christ

In 2004 and 2005, I had the honor and privilege
of writing the theme song for each of those years
for the National Day of Prayer. Even though I have
not had the opportunity to minister at the national
event since that time, I still minister somewhere
each year for a NDP event…and I still pray
every day! For some reason, I woke up singing
this chorus on Saturday morning, just a few days
before the NDP 2009. The entire song was born
while I lay in bed, frantically writing away before
I had even said ‘good morning’ to my wife! I shared
the song for the first time publicly in
Boerne, TX the following Thursday. My
prayer is that it would find its way to the
national level for next year!
