Again, this song came as one of the first of many for the youth in Muskogee, Oklahoma. One of the things I wanted to convey to the young people was that knowing Jesus Christ is not something we should ever be ashamed of…whether others understand or not…whether we are mocked or not…whether anyone else believes it or not! Jesus Christ is Lord. Period. We learned this song very quickly and love to declare it’s simple truth with an attitude of confidence and joy. Confidence in our Redeemer’s power and joy in knowing Him intimately…and desiring that others might come to know Him through our lives!
