Come In Glory

Verse
There's a new Wind blowing through the land!
Can you feel it?
There's a deeper knowing close at hand!
Lord, reveal it!
Older than time!
New every morning!
Drink of New Wine!
Fresh every day!
Immortal, Divine!
Heaven's outpouring!
Giving new life!
Showing the Way!
Holy Spirit, rain down on us!
Fill us 'til we overflow!
Holy Spirit, rain down on us!
Lead us to a deeper flow!
Chorus
Come in glory! Come in power!
Come invade this very hour!
Come in glory! Rock of Ages!
Come invade where battle rages!
Come in glory! Come revealing!
Come and flood this land with healing!
Come in glory! Come redeeming!
Put an end to Satan's scheming!
Lord, we need You!
Lord, we need You!
Lord, we need You!
Lord, we need You!
Lord, we need You!
Come In Glory - Song History

There is so much behind this song that I do not
even yet fully understand. As I sought the Lord
for my own life - to show me more of who I am
and what the calling on my life will mean for
my latter years - this refrain began wafting
through my mind: Come in glory! Come in
power! If His mercies are new every morning,
then He has something new for me every day.
I believe there is a new wind blowing through
the land...and yet it is the wind of the Spirit that
has been blowing since before the foundation
of time. My personal belief is that those in
leadership in the body of Christ are going to
be called to a deeper revelation of honest
confession before the Lord and before the people.
If we who have been redeemed do not say
what we are redeemed from, how will those
in the same bondage even know there’s hope?
I believe this is a need among pastors, teachers,
Christian artists, home group leaders, etc.
I hear from leaders all the time how this
generation is crying out for that which is real,
yet we as the body of Christ do not walk in
realness. My belief is that the reason we
do not walk in realness is due to fear.
Fear of what others will think. Fear of losing
money. Fear of whatever. Fear. This song
has within it a deep cry for God’s glory to
be revealed yet a passionate, militant heart
that beats for Jesus and against the enemy
of God. It is a warrior’s prayer and a call
to the body of Christ to be real.
Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good,
For His lovingkindness is everlasting.
Let the redeemed of the LORD say so,
Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the adversary.
