Dennis,

I want to thank you for your music and for your story. Thank you for not backing away from telling your story and giving hope to thousands who need it so badly. My son is struggling with same-sex attraction and is wanting to walk into relationship with other men. We are praying for him and loving him, but every day it seems like we can only hang on to Jesus Christ and our relationship with Him. He alone can give us wisdom in how to walk this road. We are praying for the truth of God's kingdom to win out over the lies of the enemy. Your website is a comforting and encouraging resource to turn to, one of the few that I have found. May God use you and your story in mighty ways in the weeks, months, and years ahead.

Dennis,
I was riveted to my seat as I listened to your story. There were things that were shocking, honest, courageous and the whole story reminded me of the hope in Jesus. My struggles are different than the ones you deal with, but the duration of your struggle, the faithfulness of Jesus and centering on Jesus as the only real source of strength was the testimony I needed to hear. Your boldness, fully putting your weight and faith on Jesus has already helped me.
As I stuggle and wrestle with all that goes on around me as I try to be Christ to ALL my earthly brothers and sisters. Hearing your story provided an important piece of the puzzle for me. Your view is very gentle and loving. In addition, I was blown away to hear the humility of the FOTF staff interviewing you. To admit the the agressiveness and blindness in our Christian community which has driven the LGBT community away from Christ, wow... that is a great start towards changing our methods and being better tools to bringing the all people closer to Christ.
Paul, Seattle

Dennis, I loved your 2 day testimony on Focus!
I cried every time I heard it! I am a hairdresser and I've been around homosexuals and heterosexuals that were very permiscuous. I ended up having 2 girls before marriage. But God! He took me out of my emptiness and despair and brought me to him! I've been married for 23 years. I had my 2 teens listen to your testimony. My youngest had a hard time listening, she is struggling with the whole sexual identity thing, it's everywhere in high schools now. I pray God will use her music talents and personality for His Glory just has he did in your life! Keep telling your testimony I loved it! From,California

Hi Dennis, I heard your interview on FOTF. I praise God for your honesty and truth about sin. My prayer has been that pastors would be as honest about sin as you have. I have started a blog concerning women and men who have had abortions to lead them to God's forgiveness and freedom. I would like to keep in touch for help regrading my new endeavors.

I had never heard of you before, but I heard you on this FOTF airing the past two mornings. As you explained your life experiences, I wept as I could relate to you in so many ways ... right down to hoeing on the farm and making sure to get the roots of those weeds.

Because of the shame of my struggles, I have built huge walls and often live in a cloud of despair and depression. But, I was encouraged by the hope you spoke of and long for the freedom and release that only Jesus can bring.

Thanks for doing what you are doing and I will pray that God expand your "territory" to really affect this "unreached people group" that the Church has largely despised and overlooked!

Thanks for being so candid and for sharing the hope!
